On Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May 2024, the Pajottenland will once again experience its heyday, as the – now 14th! – Toer de Geuze will take place!

  • Saturday 4 May 2024 from 11am to 7pm.
  • Sunday 5 May 2022 from 10am to 5pm.

Admission is FREE everywhere and no booking is necessary. You can do the Toer de Geuze with your own transport (car, bike…), or you can reserve a seat on one of the official HORAL buses, which traditionally accompany the Lambikstoempers. Note: these are 98% sold out, there are only a few places left on Sunday!

Beer centre De Lambiek (Gemeenveldstraat 1, 1652 Alsemberg ) will also be open all weekend. Since various activities will also be organised here, a FREE shuttle bus will be provided. Reservation is required.

What to do where?

BOON

  • Boon Brewery is OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 9pm, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 6pm.
  • The whole weekend: visits to the brewery, three Boon bars, summer terrace, bouncy castle and the Boon Biershop….
  • Musical entertainment: Saturday from 2pm by the Lembeek Easter Soldiers (De Carabiniers, De Cavalerie, De Congo) and D'(H)opmaten, Sunday by the Fanfarettes and the DeciBells.
  • Saturday 4 May at 11.30am starts the 3rd Geuze Boon Jogging, which runs through the brewery hall, the feed warehouses and some surprising locations in Lembeek.
  • HUNGRY?! Chef Lolo will provide bagnats with brasvar, meat loaf or veggie, as well as flat-cheese sandwiches, and ice cream or sugar tarts for dessert.
  • Both car and bike parking is provided at the brewery.

DE CAM

  • Blendery De Cam will be OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 6pm, on Sunday 5 May from 11am to 6pm. Each day will be unique, just as each bottle of De Cam is.
  • On Sunday 5 May, Karel Goddeau & chef Tom Bollen will jointly organise a Toer de Geuze Food Pairing by Taratata restaurant. They will present 3 distinctive dishes from the Pajottenland region, all prepared with the best gueuze and lambic from De Cam. Chef Tom Bollen, sous chef Wannes De Cordt and beer sommelier Gery Vanloffelt will be present. Highly recommended!

DE TROCH

  • Brewery De Troch is OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm.
  • You can enjoy a summer terrace and a bouncy castle all weekend long.
  • Combine your visit to De Troch with the walking route Pol De Mont and/or the cycling route the Boerenkrijgroute, both of which pass by the brewery.
  • HUNGRY?! You will find cold snacks such as a sandwich with Wambeek flat cheese. You can find more meals at nearby bistro Leo & Ben’s, which will present dishes prepared with beers from De Troch especially on the occasion of Toer de Geuze. (Reservations are recommended).
  • Parking (car and bikes) is available on the parking meadow opposite the brewery, and around the church. Buses are best parked on the Weverstraat. Parking is prohibited on the carriageway opposite the brewery, except for buses.

DEN HERBERG

  • Brewery Den Herberg will be OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 8pm, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 6pm. The café will be open on Saturday from 11am-3pm and Sunday from 10am-1pm.
  • There will be free tours of the brewery and a shop for those who want to reminisce at home. Geuze Magnum bottles will be available again btw!
  • More ‘specials’ on site: Geuze Thevenet, Geus Genereus (made with 4, 5 and 6 year old lambics), cherry lambics, sample pallet of lambics ‘Vosse’ with 1-2-3-4-5-6 year old lambics and Geuze & Kriek on tap.
  • The summer terrace is a great place to hang out, with popular games and a skittle alley. And for the little ones: a bouncy castle, face painting stand and a balloon man,
  • HUNGRY?! There will be hot and cold dishes at the brewery (stew, meatballs with cherries, veggie pasta), Bij Piek (farmer’s sandwiches, quiche, seasonal bowl) and in the café (special dish and ham in mustard sauce).
  • On Saturday evening, 4 May, you can enjoy a performance by Travelin’ Band (tribute band CCR) from 8:30pm.
  • Buses can park at Parking ‘Gemeenteplein’. Parking for cars is available at the former kaatsplein in the park of Buizingen. Bicycles can be parked opposite Café Den Herberg or at the back of the Zenneweg.

EYLENBOSCH

  • Eylenbosch Brewery will be open for the first time during Toer de Geuze and OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm.
  • Everyone is welcome to discover the foeder barn and taste the various beers. The shop will also be open, as will the summer terrace and bouncy castle, coloured with the necessary background music.
  • NEW at Eylenbosch: the first Oude Gueuze 75cl with 100% Eylenbosch lambic and the Whisky Symphony Gueuze 75cl Limited Edition.
  • HUNGRY?! Hot dishes and also ice creams will be provided!
  • Buses can drop off visitors but must drive through (one-way traffic towards Kobbegem). Buses can be parked at Van Moer Transport (Isidoor Crokaertstraat 25, 1731 Asse). Cars can be parked at the foederschuur (on the meadow). Buses are NOT allowed on the meadow!

HANSSENS

  • Blendery Hanssens will only be OPEN on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm, NOT on Saturday 4 May.
  • NEW: a 100% hand-picked Schaarbeek Krieken lambic Limited Edition
  • HUNGRY?! Come feast on white & black tripe, as well as home-made products such as dried sausage with Hanssens Geuze and sandwiches.

KESTEMONT

  • Kestemont Brewery will be open for the first time during Toer de Geuze and OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm.
  • Free entry to the brewery, foeder room and so on.
  • Side animation: summer terrace, playground, bouncy castle, all kinds of pub games (such as corntoss, big jenga, nail-biting), Giro on big screen and… good food!
  • NEW: 2 new lambic beers, one with blood orange and one with bergamot.
  • HUNGRY?! On Saturday, Mong Foodtrucks will come and serve croques. On Sunday, you can savor delicious burgers from Just Burger.
  • There is parking for both cars and bikes diagonally opposite the brewery, opposite numbers 8-10. Parking is prohibited in the rest of Isabellastraat, except for buses, which can park on the carriageway.

LAMBIEK FABRIEK

  • Brewery Lambiek Fabriek is OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to midnight, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 7pm.
  • Come admire the brand-new brewing installation, stroll among the barrels and casks, enjoy the summer terrace or… take out your frustrations on the punching bag. Anyway: fun guaranteed! #nobrettnoglory
  • Afterparty: on Saturday night, with Onda Sonora.
  • NEW: Hell & Wild Spiritu-Elle 43% (spirit made from lambic, cassis and muscaris grape).
  • HUNGRY?! Then there are burgers and ice creams.
  • Enough parking is available. Buses can stop briefly in front of the gate, as parking is prohibited there.

LINDEMANS

  • Lindemans Brewery will be OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm. Pre-registration is desirable!
  • Discover the brewery and enjoy the unique opportunity to experience the last brew of the season. Experience ‘Blend Your Own Gueuze’ again this year, where you can bottle your own gueuze. Also present: a summer terrace, musical performances and bouncy castles.
  • NEW: Lindemans Pure Oude Gueuze, Limited Edition – only 12,000 bottles! – from lambic aged for 7 years on a large oak foeder.
  • HUNGRY?! You can choose both cold and hot dishes.
  • Parking for both cars and bikes is available at the brewery.

MORT SUBITE

  • Mort Subite Brewery is OPEN only on Sunday 5 May from 11am to 7pm, NOT on Saturday 4 May.
  • Visit the brewery, taste the different beers and find the kid in yourself with all kinds of folk games.
  • NEW: Silence of the Lambic, or Vière au chardonnay and lambic, a unique collaboration between Mort Subite and Gallia from Paris.
  • HUNGRY?! Then taste the sausages baked in Oude Geuze.
  • Parking is available in the streets near the brewery.

OUD BEERSEL

  • Blendery Oud Beersel is OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm and Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm. The Bierhuis is open on Saturday from 10am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
  • All weekend: continuous free guided tours (20 min) – in Dutch, French and English – and a well-stocked brewery shop with various bottles, beer boxes, glassware and other goodies.
  • Fringe entertainment: ‘Nagelke klop’, horseshoe throwing, comfy beach chairs to hang out in, a musical organ and – for the little ones – a bouncy castle and a face painting stand.
  • NEW: Oude Geuze Vandervelden 142 (on the occasion of Oud Beersel’s 142nd birthday) and 2 new Sparkling Infused Lambics (Grapefruit Peel and Salted Tangering Peel).
  • HUNGRY?! At the Bierhuis you can enjoy the delicious beer kitchen, while at the Kriekerij there will be a dessert stand. And Hoeve Cuvry will traditionally provide pig on a spit! Groups wishing to eat at the Bierhuis on Saturday evening or Sunday evening should book in advance.
  • Parking is available on Hendrik Consciencestraat, the street opposite Oud Beersel. Buses can easily park on Sanatoriumstraat, which becomes a one-way street for this purpose during Toer de Geuze.

TILQUIN

  • Gueuzerie Tilquin will be OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm.
  • Free guided tours of the blendery will be organised – in French, Dutch and English – and all beers will be available for tasting at the bar, as well as for sale in the shop. A bouncy castle will be provided for the little ones.
  • NEW: Oude Abricot Tilquin and Tilquin Oude Gueuze Cuvée Arthur, the latest release from the Family Tree Project (with 20% 1-year-old, 30% 2-year-old and 50% 3-year-old lambic).
  • HUNGRY?! Then feast on pig on a spit (prepared by butcher Fisette), fish & chips (from Bia Mara) and/or meatballs Brussels-style (from Tartempion).
  • Opposite the blendery, you will find plenty of parking space. Please note: Tilquin is located on a busy road!

TIMMERMANS

  • Timmermans Brewery will be OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, and on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 6pm.
  • Ambiance guaranteed with musical performances by, among others, J&D Band (Saturday), Fanfare de Vrije Belgen (Sunday) and entertainment for children!
  • NEW: Lambic Elderflower, Griotteke 2 (2024 edition), Lambic Merlot 2024 and Lambic Pinot Gris 2024.
  • Timmermans Brewery will soon undergo a major metamorphosis. After the Toer de Geuze, visits to the brewery will be limited due to renovation works. The renovations will be carried out with respect for the historical framework, as Timmermans Brewery is an active brewery included in the list of protected industrial heritage.
  • HUNGRY?! Then head to the food truck with gourmet Angus beef burgers and fries.
  • There are several parking options: parking corner Dorpstraat – Itterbeeksebaan, church square Dorpstraat – Kerkstraat, along Dreeflaan and Itterbeeksebaan. At the brewery, space will be kept free for buses anyway.

BEER CENTRE DE LAMBIEK

  • Beer Centre De Lambiek is OPEN on Saturday 4 May from 11am to 7pm, on Sunday 5 May from 10am to 5pm.
  • On Saturday, between 2pm and 5pm, enjoy the Colby Music Band while tasting a tasty lambic beer.
  • On Sunday, you can put together your ‘Own blend’ geuze from 1pm to 5pm, accompanied by one of its local brewers. You have a choice of different types of lambic to blend your own bottle, so taste, blend and… enjoy your unique bottle one year after the date.
  • HUNGRY?! What could be better with a good glass of Oude Geuze/Kriek than a sandwich with Geuze pâté or flat cheese?
  • Cars can park at Parking CC De Meent (Gemeenveldstraat 34, 1652 Alsemberg), buses at the car park of the Sint-Viktorschool (Brusselsesteenweg 20, 1652 Alsemberg).

On Saturday 30th of April and Sunday 1st of May 2022, the Pajottenland will experience its heyday again, when the – now 13th! – Tour the Gueuze takes place!

Admission is FREE everywhere and reservations are not necessary. You can do the Toer de Geuze with your own transport (car, bicycle…), or you can reserve a place on one of the official HORAL buses, which traditionally accompany the Lambikstoempers. (A bus ticket costs 19.50 euros/person.)

Where to do what?

BOON

  • Brewery Boon is open all weekend, on Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
  • On Saturday at 11:30 am the Geuze Boon Jogging will start.
  • During the visit you can also enjoy a free tasting lambic between the oak casks. Boon’s beers as well as the Oude Geuze Megablend 2019 can be tasted at the various bars. Special bottles of gueuze from the Boon reserve will be available in the special tasting bar.
  • For those who are hungry, there is warm ham, tripe sandwiches, sandwiches with country cheese an other food.
  • In the brewery shop, all beers and beer glasses are also for sale.
  • You can park on the parking area opposite the brewery. If you travel by train, you should get off at Lembeek station. The brewery is located at the south exit of the station. 

DE CAM

  • Karel from the Old blendery De Cam welcomes you to his sanctuary, whether or not with bagpipes and/or a sandwich with homemade, freshly made pottekeis.
  • In Volkscafé De Cam you can enjoy all kinds of regional dishes and delicacies.

DE TROCH

  • At Brewery De Troch, in addition to a guided tour with tasting, you can also go for a sandwich with Wambeek country cheese or with farm ham. There is a beer shop and a beer terrace, as wel as a bouncy castle for children.
  • Food will also be served in the nearby bistro Leo & Ben’s, which will present specially prepared dishes for the Toer de Geuze with beers from De Troch.
  • Combine your visit to the brewery with the walking route Pol De Mont and / or the cycling route the Boerenkrijgroute, both with junctions at brewery De Troch.

DEN HERBERG

  • Brewery Den Herberg is organising continuously guided tours in the brewery. In addition to two food trucks on the gueuze terrace (Ferm – Den Ommegang), there is also a beer shop.
  • The film ‘Lambic: About Time and Passion’ by Dani Ruiz will be shown at regular intervals.
  • In the evening there will be musical performances in collaboration with ‘Lokale Helden’.
  • Parking is available nearby for buses, cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

HANSSENS

  • At Hanssens Blendery – ATTENTION: only open on Sunday 1st of May – all produced beers can be tasted.
  • Snails in geuze soup, homemade dried sausages and homemade  sandwiches are on the menu.

LAMBIEK FABRIEK

  • After the tour at Lambiek Fabriek you can visit the bar or the shop.
  • Jo and Jo will also provide a food stand.
  • The atmosphere is brightened by pleasant music. On Saturday evenings, the bar remains open until after 7 pm.

LINDEMANS

  • At Lindemans Brewery one can witness the last brewing weekend of the year. Peter and Filip, the brewers, are happy to welcome you in the brewing room with its copper kettles. They will tell a lot about the work of wild yeasts, their craftsmanship and the patience needed to make Oude Geuze. Together with Geert and Dirk Lindemans, the guides and experts, the focus is on the beer experience and the authentic brewing process.
  • Who knows, you might even get a taste of blending your own gueuze. Select the best lambic, each with its own character, and take home your own unique blend.
  • Magical parasols tell 1001 Lambic stories by Lindemans.
  • Lindemans will print a personalised Lindemans bicentennial card, especially for you on site.
  • The children can take part in a fruit hunt in the brewery. In this way, the smallest brewery visitors will be brewers for a day.
  • One can enjoy a refreshing lambic beer during your visit. There will be even an anniversary beer that will be presented on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the brewery.
  • At the beautiful art nouveau stand you can enjoy a gin or cocktail, based on Lindemans beers and made in style by Lindemix ambassador and mixologist Jef Berben. A dash of music and classy cabaret dancers should of course not be missed.
  • When you are hungry, you can enjoy a richly filled plate of regional delicacies, a sensational burger, a Lindemans croquette or a delicious local ice cream.

MORT SUBITE

  • At Brewery Mort Subite – ATTENTION: only open on Sunday 1st of May – one can visit the brewery and discover the Mort Subite beers. Try the Limited Edition Oude Kriek with Schaerbeek cherries, taste different vintages Old Gueuze to fully experience the effect of aging in the bottle, or taste the Megablend. 
  • One can enjoy the necessary delicacies and there is also entertainment all day long.

OUD BEERSEL

  • Blendery Oud Beersel welcomes you in the legendary Bierhuis Oud Beersel (open from Thursday to Sunday) and in a pop-up bar at the Kriekerij. There are continuously guided tours in Dutch, French and English. Stroll through the foeder rooms and the barrel warehouse. All visitors are offered a free lambic taste during the tour.
  • When you are hungry, you can visit the Bierhuis for our delicious beer kitchen, or visit the Hoeve Cuvry stand at the Kriekerij. For the children there is a bouncy castle and a face painting booth, while the adults can enjoy a delicious glass of beer from Oud Beersel at the bar.
  • In the brewery shop you can buy a special Oude Geuze Vandervelden that will be released for the 140th anniversary of Oud Beersel, the new Oude Geuze Barrel Selection Demi-Muids as well as the Megablend 2022. There will also be a number of very exclusive bottles are available in the store.
  • Parking is provided on Hendrik Consciencestraat, the street opposite Oud Beersel. Buses can easily park on Sanatoriumstraat, which will be a one-way street especially for this purpose during Toer de Geuze.
  • In the days before Toer de Geuze it is possible for groups to visit the brewery by appointment, via VZW De Geuzen.

TILQUIN

  • Gueuzerie Tilquin will offer a free lambic tasting to every visitor who takes the guided tour. At the distillery one can buy two types of Gueuze (Oude Geuze and Geuze by the barrel), Oude Quetsche (plum lambic refermented in the bottle), Oude Mûre (blackberry lambic refermentation in the bottle), the typical Tilquin mixture of lambics and also Rullquin from the barrel. A range of experimental draft fruit beers are also on offer. Visitors can also enjoy other grape and fruit lambics by the glass.
  • For those who are hungry, there is pig on a spit from the Fisette butcher’s shop, fresh, tasty fish & chips from Bia Mara, or an artisanal burger and meatballs from Tartempion in Brussels style.
  • There is a bouncy castle for the children.
  • All Tilquin products are sold in the shop.
  • Parking is provided opposite the blendery.

TIMMERMANS

  • Brewery Timmermans dates from 1702 and is the oldest active lambic brewery in the world. During the two days of the Toer de Geuze, the brewing activities can be witnessed. The brewing will start a little later than usual, so that the visitors can observe the mashing with the “madams”, the filtration and even the cooling of the wort in the coolship.
  • During the tour one can enjoy a delicious glass of lambic straight from the foeders in the unique foeder room.
  • In addition to some performances, you can enjoy the Timmermans beers in the authentic pub inside, or at the bar outside. Don’t forget to taste our various new beers.

Visitor Centre DE LAMBIEK

  • Visitor Centre De Lambiek will kicks off the Toer de Geuze with a fun beer quiz on Friday evening.
  • On Saturday and Sunday mornings one can enjoy a tasty breakfast.
  • Are you by bike or on foot? Then discover the Toer de Geuze cycling and walking routes along various breweries.
  • Have you always dreamed of putting together your own gueuze? Then take part in the workshop “Make Your Own Blend”.
  • On Saturday evening, the center will be transformed into “Toer de Geuze Muziekcafé”. Everyone is welcome from 6 pm.
  • Do you want to experience the Toer de Geuze for a whole weekend? Then book your spot at the pop-up campsite for campers or tents.
  • Have you not been able to visit all breweries? Then come to the beer center, where you will find a wide range of gueuze and kriek from the participating breweries and distilleries. Real enthusiasts can buy a box of Trio Megablend in the beer shop.
