For the 25th time we are organising our annual BEER WEEKEND, traditionally in the second part of August and since this year in the Sint-Rochus church, Kardinaal Mercierplein 1 in 1500 Halle, easily accessible by car and public transport.
Saturday 22 August from 14:00 to 22:00 and Sunday 23 August from 13:00 to 18:00
+100 different beers
As in previous years, we have again taken a broad approach and you get to choose from more than 100 different beers.
The past year has been one of many novelties. The beer landscape is constantly changing. We are therefore pleased to present a selection of these novelties, supplemented with established names, as well as innovative beers. All corners of our beer country are covered.
Moreover, and as usual, we will again have a ‘BIG LAMBIC BAR’, where you can (re)taste more than 70 lambic beers: from the basic lambic brew to various Oude Geuze, Oude Kriek and other (fruit) beers of spontaneous fermentation. And yes, you are sure to find some “speciallekes” here too.
Tasting glasses
All beers are served in our own 10cl or 15cl Lambikstoempers tasting glasses and sold at democratic prices. This should make it possible to taste several of these beers.
The hungry ones can also purchase tasty, local snacks: a portion of cheese, a dry sausage, a croque “on the go”, a meatball with sour cherries & bread or just a meatball with mustard.
And an unmissable success with visitors is always our big Beer Tombola: for a small contribution, you have a chance to return home with a nice beer prize. No risk, no gain…
Finally, the little ones can have fun with our big colouring competition. For them (and BOB) we also provide soft drinks, fruit juice, coffee and water.
Good to know, by the way: we are providing bicycle parking. And located at the church are a few petanque courts and an insect hotel. So feel free to bring your petanque balls and/or insects to our Beer Weekend. 😉
